Notes: Martha's husband George Fennel served as a  Private in Company D, 36th Regiment (Broyles'), Georgia Infantry, CSA in the Civil War. He and his family were living on Braswell Mountain in Paulding County, GA at that time. After the war he came back and stayed there until around 1880 when he went back to Walhalla SC., to work because there were no jobs around home. He worked at a sawmill. He had an accident at the mill where he had both arms cut off. He died a few days later.
